Young Liberals Greece became a LYMEC member!

On the 12-14th of May, the regular Spring Conference of LYMEC took place in Stockholm, during which the Young Liberals Greece, a Youth think tank, was accepted as an associated member. Young Liberals is an initiative of young people from the whole spectrum of Greek liberal territory and aspires to express Greek Liberal Youth in Greece and abroad.
The acceptance of their candidacy by LYMEC – European Liberal Youth is an important success not only for Young Liberals Greece but also for Greece itself since it is the firstand only Greek organization to be accepted as a member of LYMEC. LYMEC is the youth wing of the ALDE Group in the European Parliament, and at the same time, it is the umbrella of dozens of political youths and organizations across Europe with a liberal and European orientation, promoting dialogue and cooperation among its members.
Young Liberals were found in the capital of Sweden with the support of the Greek Office of the Foundation Friedrich Naumann and discussed with young politicians from across Europe the problems faced by young people in Greece, focusing mainly on high unemployment and taxation and lack of opportunities. At the same time, it was the first time in LYMEC’s 41 years of existence when Greek positions were heard about major national and European issues.
The delegation of Young Liberals Greece was formed by the President Mr. Papanikolaou Georgios Marinos and the International Officer, Ms. Grammenos Natalia.
